MY CLASSES AND SUCH

This page contains information on classes I teach. Now that Bonnie and I own our wonderful house in East Vancouver with a very spacious living room, I've made the space into a little teaching area.

ACTOR'S ON CAMERA AUDITION WORK OUT GROUP

On Thursday nights once a week I run an audition work out group for actors. It is inexpensive (about half the cost of current classes in the industry) and it gives actors a chance to stay sharp and practiced when there isn't much going on, either for themselves or in the industry in general.

The format works like this: we do a warm up, and then we shoot the work, I give feedback, then we shoot it again. Since the price is so reasonable actors are required to bring their own two page camera scene to work on.

I run it on four week cycles, and you can start any time. For information on this class message me at classes (at) henryjmah (dot) com with your name and contact phone number and the words "Work Out Group" in the subject line.

DATE AND TIME: Thursday nights, ongoing 4 consecutive week cycles, 7 - 10 PM

COST: $140 HST included

12 CHOICES AUDITION CLASS ON TUESDAY NIGHTS

I teach Linda Darlow's 12 Choices Audition technique. The class is designed to work with people who are fairly new to the industry or who want a brush up on auditioning basics. It runs for 12 consecutive Tuesday nights at my house.

The next 12 week session to be taught by me is postponed until summer 2013, as Linda is teaching this class at Tarlington Training as part of their efforts to grow an adult acting class division.

** In future I'm going to teach a 12 Choices review class; as a special offer for past 12 Choices participants I'm offering it for a special price of $150 plus HST (=$168) per month for 3 consecutive months.

MASTERY GRAD SCENE CLASS

On Monday February 6 2012 I started a scene class specifically for Mastery Grads. It's been clipping along successfully with a humble beginning of 4 students. I'm going to continue offering this Scene Class at an affordable rate, because I think acting classes in our community are quite high priced.

The purpose of this class is to reward past graduates of the Mastery with an affordable scene class, and to give the grads in community at large a place to work and play with other grads.

I will supply all the scene material, and it will be a combination of cold reading scene study I learned from Shea Hampton, and also based on principles of the Mastery workshop.

To be in this class a minimum 12 week commitment is required.
